Visit Mures app for iPhone and iPad

We collected content of various topics and created 4 main categories for grouping the tourist attractions into subcategories for easy handling and exploration. On the main page you will find the items marked with icons:

Built Heritage - Castles-Fortresses, Architectural Curiosities, Churches
Paths - Educational routes with descriptions, photos and interactive map
Legendary Places - Legends and stories related to towns and villages in Mures County.
Outdoor - a list of natural treasures and various leisure activities

There is also a search engine on the main page to help you browse. It provides opportunities to search by the name of a place or name of attraction. Displays matches already after the first three typed characters in a list, from which you can select the desired destination. Those places are included in the search engine database, which are connected to some attractions.

In addition to descriptions, in the app, we collected photos and videos of each attraction in a separate gallery of images placed on the given page. The Virtual Tour feature displays 360-degree panoramas of some locations. Built-in features let you directly dial the phone number or open the website of various attractions.

A Map can be found in the Paths category. This allows you to view the position of elements of a particular educational route on the built-in google map. Navigation is also possible if the Geolocation function is enabled.
On the pages of the variant points of interest you will find recommendations, the application lists other interesting destinations that are close to the given site, or are thematically similar.

On a sightseeing walk or a hike, it is easily possible for people to get hungry - thats why weve gathered nearby restaurants and their contact details into 4 groups: Bars, Restaurants, Cafes, Fast Food.

Event Calendar - concerts, festivals, different performances - we try to keep the app up to date, so that users can find several programs in chronological order. The Facebook page of the events, or the program organizers website, can be accessed through url links displayed in the app. They also can be saved to the calendar application on the mobile device - pasting automatically the name, date, time and location of the event.

Blog - We have gathered a lot of interesting information about the well-known and lesser known sights of Mures County. In addition, in the Blog category, we try to describe useful tips for travel in order to give a more authentic, realistic, or maybe more entertaining picture of the destination. The Share button on this page enables to share blog entries with other social networking apps on your mobile device.

Contact – We are constantly expanding our database of tourist attractions in Mureş County, but there may be some interesting and exciting places that we miss. If you know something that is not listed in the application, you can help our work by sending us information about the item via the mailing function on the Contact page and we will try to display it in the application.

Through the Near me feature, the app is listing attractions, programs in a 5 km range compared to the position determined by the mobile device and send notifications if this function is enabled from the settings.

Internet connection is required to use the application.
